Let me clarify. This is from my homeowner's insurance agent.
Homeowner's insurance covers my cars, bikes, & truck for theft, destruction in a fire, etc. Doesn't matter if the bike is in the garage or parked in front of a bar in Miami. It does NOT cover destruction in an accident on or off the highway. For that you have to buy automobile or motorcycle insurance. (I get mine from Progressive - Dairyland wanted too much money).
Call Dairyland and ask them. I'm sure they will tell you their policy does not cover your bike if it's stolen out of your garage.
